Craig Gildner’s Blue Crescent Syncopators

An event update from your friends at DCLX:

DCLX is excited to announce the return of Craig Gildner’s Blue Crescent Syncopators! Craig has an expanded lineup of fine local musicians including Anita Thomas on reeds, David Sager on trombone, Brian Alpert on drums, and Jon Coombs on bass for our Friday night main dance of the exchange (20 April). This dance will be held in the Bumper Car Pavilion at Glen Echo Park. Jon and Anita will add some surprises to the instrumentation you won’t want to miss! Got a hankering for traditional jazz?

The Potomac River Jazz Club (PRJC) is a nonprofit society whose purpose is to preserve, encourage, and promote the playing and appreciation of traditional jazz. Our Website has a complete listing of trad jazz events in the DC area–great for a night out before or after DCLX! The site also has information on local jazz bands and jazz history, as well as many other items of interest to jazz fans. The PRJC also supports young musicians playing traditional jazz through the Capital Focus Youth Jazz Band.

    Update, 11 Dec 2011. Early Bird registration sold out! Go ahead and buy the regular registration package. It’s still cheaper than buying all the dances at the at-door prices. Plus you are guaranteed entrance to all the dances.
